CORRESPONDENCE:
Magazines on Homeland security free for sign-up. Comes out quarterly.
Parade of lights Oct 7th South Holland, needs assistance with traffic control.
TREASURER REPORT:
The checking account has $386.43, the money market has $3,722.53, the CD has $2914.47, and the total of all accounts equals $7,023.43. Check 1026 to John Dobner to expand web page space cleared.
Motion by Art Johnson 2nd by Ralph Turner to accept treasurers’ report.
TRAINING:
Training standards meeting results. Was cut short do to a mutual aid call.
CERT training needs to be spaced out over a few weeks, not planned for one week.
Sauk Village has offered to train 1st responder or First aid & CPR. Group sizes of 15-20.
COMMUNICATIONS:
A SMART page was sent Wednesday afternoon about 12:15 and Thursday about 15:00 to alphanumeric pagers & NEXTEL phones.
Nextel reps took questions and explained their in-operability.
Nextel + series phones will work for faxing and paging.
Additional Fire Ground frequencies were given out.

Keep us updated on changes of, phone numbers, Vehicles, equipment, PAGERS, NEXTEL’s etc.

IESMA (Illinois Emergency Services Management Association):
Conference in April.
IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency):
Next years conference is September 7th, 8th, & 9th 2004 in Springfield at the Crown Plaza. Conference had 790 signed up, but 38 canceled, so the end result was 752 attendees. Next year registration will be offered over the Internet. You will still have to send in your check. Internet billing is not planned for the future.

Publication from Alexandria Mass casualty for hospital, crisis communication, bio-terrorism Jim Dean has the info on how to get them delivered.
NEW BUSINESS:
Sauk Village FD brought presentation of truck crash on 394.
August 2004 ESDA day will be resurrected by Steger.
Motion by John Thomas to give Roger Mumford authority to research Christmas Party 2nd by Art Johnson. Tentative date for this dinner is December 13. Roger can spend up to $600.
Meeting calendar 2004 will be discussed in New Lenox and finished at Sauk Village.
