Motion to approve previous meeting minutes by James Dean, 2nd by John Thomas.

TREASURER REPORT:
The November balance in the checking account is $1466.43, the money market has $4,632.40 (there was a $400.00 deposit and earned $3.49 interest) the CD has $2923.84, the total of all accounts equals $9,022.67.
The December balance in the checking account is $1,037.13 (Check for $429.30), the money market has $4,636.46 (earned $4.06 interest), the CD is $2,931.49 (earned $7.65 interest) the total for all accounts equals $8,605.08
Motion by Jeff Schoeling 2nd by John Levon Jr to accept treasurers’ report.
TRAINING:
Tinley Park has scheduled CERT training there are 2 sessions of 6 nights. Some dates may have to be changed because of conflicts with SMART meeting.
Tinley Park has a weather spotters class scheduled for Tuesday January 20th 7-9 PM.
COMMUNICATIONS:
A SMART page was sent Monday afternoon & Thursday at 10:40 to alphanumeric pagers & NEXTEL phones.
Cook County antenna at Central & 159 will be used as “hot spot”. The “hot spot” is encrypted and has about a mile and half range. Communities will be charged for T-1 line but not equipment. You need to have the computers with accessories to get your jurisdiction connected to the “hot spot”.

Reminder Buffalo Grove has shelter operations class on January 20th.
Building of new Red Cross headquarters is going well it is located by Strogher Hospital.
Red Cross has communication vehicle available it will be at shelter operation training class on January 20th.
Member/Membership Status:
Nothing to report on.
OLD BUSINESS:
Tinley Park needs to change the SMART meeting date. Since they have CERT training scheduled on the same date.
Are the directors going to have access to the paging program? The communications committee needs to go over this again and come up with a decision.
