TREASURER REPORT:
The October 30, 2004 balance in the checking account is $1,818.23, the money market has $5,677.57 the CD has $2954.20, the total of all accounts equals $10,450.00.
October activity was; deposit in checking account for $300 and $4.66 interest earned on Money Market.
Motion by Jeff Schoeling 2nd by James Bibbs to accept treasurers’ report.
Communities that have paid are; Blue Island, Cook County, CC Hills, Hometown, Lynwood, Mokena, Oak Forest, Palos Park, Peotone, Rich Township, Riverdale, Sauk Village, South Holland, Steger, Thornton, Tinley Park, and Will County. (16 of 23)
TRAINING:
GSAR class in Steger was great. Suggestion was made that SMART have our own Search & Rescue team. It should comprise about 12 Committee members and Roger appointed Dave Goodwine Joel Werner (Peotone), Adam Trent & Jeff Morden (Steger). Anyone else interested can join even if you had the training a while ago.
COMMUNICATIONS:
A SMART page was sent Monday 11/8 about 13:35, and Wednesday 11/10 about 17:55 to alphanumeric pagers & NEXTEL phones.
Bob Small talked about radios and antennas. He also gave out 2 handouts.
There is a deal on RELM radios that are 99 channels and cost about $275 each, software is about $20.

LEGISLATIVE LIAISON:
At the 9-1-1 conference it was stated that AED trained personnel are required at any physical fitness establishment. This goes into affect 1/5/05 for schools, physical fitness facilities i.e. Curves, Bally’s, Park Districts, etc.
Illinois Department of Public Health is enforcing the requirement that all Emergency Medical Dispatchers need to be EMD trained.

OLD BUSINESS:
Christmas party is Thursday December 9th from 7:00 to 10:00 PM dinner is at 7:30. There will be a cash bar available and there is NO SMOKING in the building. The restaurant is Bartolinis located at 14420 S. Pulaski just north of the drivers license facility. Everyone needs to let Mike Tryon know they are coming. There will be no more then 3 people per community.
