TREASURER REPORT:
The checking has $3,147.29, the money market has $1,629.17, the CD has $2,851.15, equals $7,627.61. Motion by John Ranieri 2nd by Butch Stoffregen to accept treasurers’ report.

- April 24 Wednesday 6:30 PM-9: 30 PM Unified Command at Kallsen Conference Center 16250 Oak Park Ave, Tinley Park
- April 29 Monday 9:00 AM-12:00 PM Unified Command. At South Suburban College Lecture Hall A, South Holland.
- May 1 Thursday 9:00AM-12:00PM, Unified Command at South Suburban Mayors & Managers Office conference C, 1904 W. 174th St. East Hazel Crest.
COMMUNICATIONS:
Bob Small set off a SMART page Thursday afternoon at 13:00 to Alpha numeric and Nextel’s. 5 people didn’t not get the page. He needs the correct PIN numbers and other information to make sure these people receive the SMART pages. It is very important, to all members to keep Bob informed of any changes to pagers or NEXTEL’s.
John Dobner reported problems with the web site. Additional space is needed and logging on has become a problem. Lincoln Net isn’t living up to expectations. He asked that SMART seek another host organization for our web site at a cost not to exceed $50.00 per month. Motion made by Art Johnson 2nd by Mike Pope.
EQUIPMENT:
Keep John updated on changes.
John Dobner gave out updates to the equipment lists and equipment books to those that were missed at the last couple meetings. John also said that if your having problems with the software give him a call. If you bring in your old disk to the next meeting he will update it for you.

COOK COUNTY: www.cookcountysheriff.org
Kevin Philipps told us that John Pluta had received a certificate of merit from the Cook County Sheriff for his work. John thanked SMART for the assistance he received and said he wouldn’t have received the certificate without us working with him.
John is looking for 2 locations to hold Shelter Management workshops for the months of June or July. He expects to have 50 people at each session and each ESDA will be allocated 5 slots. The workshop is for professionals not volunteers.
John said standards are being prepared for Ground Search and Rescue, in cooperation with Kane, Will, and Cook counties. The standards will cover team size, management, air search, and K-9 teams. The Cook County Forest Preserve Police will be included in future training, since most searches involve forest preserves.
John said there would be 3 Cook County Sheriff frequencies turned over to Cook County EMA.
Training for Dispatch Centers will take place on April 24 at 13:00 hours and 19:00 hours.

Don Gould the current director of Will County EMA will be retiring after 17 years service. An open house will be held the evening of May 16. The new Director is William Ferguson he will be appointed at the April Will County board meeting.

Harold thanked Oak Forest and Mokena for assistance at the most recent fire in Plainfield.

Accountability Tag COMMITTEE:
There will be training sessions on accountability tags at a future SMART meeting.
OLD BUSINESS:
Lynwood will host the October SMART meeting.
Bob Small reviewed the 2002 SMART goals. All members present received a copy.
NEW BUSINESS:
Crestwood needs assistance April 21; they need 6 people & cars.
Sandy Patlak has used and broken bicycles if some one wants to fix them for the needy.
