TREASURER REPORT:
The checking has $2,898.87, the money market has $2,224.40, the CD has $2,865.58, equals $7,988.85. Motion by John Thomas 2nd by John Levon to accept treasurers’ report.

Bob Small set off a SMART page Thursday afternoon at around 12:15 to alphanumeric pagers and NEXTEL phones.
Those with NEXTEL’s do you have a government account. If you don’t have a government account your phone isn’t on priority. Check with your NEXTEL town representative.
August 13 field command with Cook County.

Nothing new going on glitch on frequencies and things will get worked out.

Ron is filling in for Region 3. Paul Rash is new Region 3 Coordinator starting September 1.
State will start make tests for Homeland Security 1st Tuesday 10:30 on LEADS.
Had a grant to use on Terrorism so they opted for mass decontamination unit stored on a trailer.
September 18th 9:30 AM Oil Spill Drill along Des Plaines River, hosted by Exxon Mobil. You can observe this one if you wish.
Sept 29th EMS drill.

New building being built across from Cook County Hospital to open 2004. Center for IEMA.
OLD BUSINESS:
Need to send a letter to Orland Hills, Jack Leddin Director, to find out if they want to stay in SMART. Secretary will write letter to Jack Leddin to have him call Roger Mumford.
Dean Bloom talked with Marketing Manager at Cook County Cheetahs day at ball game. He will set-up for next year.
Do we plan a SMART seminar? any more, Coordinators workshop.
Picture ID status John doesn’t have all the communities. John only has 3 communities that responded.
Operational expense money use.
NEW BUSINESS:
Sandy wants someone to contact Cook County to have morgue tour again.
Admin rules change on IEMA. Need to submit a letter by June to receive IEMA money. Mayor signs off on hours you are paid to work in town. On internet of State and look up Administration rules.
Changed configuration of disaster plan FEMA PGA 8.
Art has letters for Fire Bash to hand out.
SSMMA is involved heavy with Homeland Security & Bio-Terrorism. Tabletops have been done. They have a traveling show going on for doing tabletops for multi-communities. They want to get Village trustees and President to participate. South Suburban area needs to be prepared. If you miss out on SSMMA you won’t get it and you’ll be left in the cold.
Cook County Emergency Preparedness & Violence Prevention part of Dept. of Public Health. Suppose to help us apply for grants for Bio-Terrorism. Guidelines are being sent to John Dobner.
