TRAINING:
Jim Dean Hometown ESDA will host a Severe Weather presentation March 6th Hammond hall 4343 Southwest Hwy 7:00 PM.
April 12, Calumet City Severe Weather presentation at Library 7:00 PM.
Will County to host Traffic class at Romeoville EOC in May.
Rich Township wants to schedule a traffic class.
Tuesday February 20 Ham radio class 7:00 Code 7:30 Tech class Oak Forest.
Feb 22 Pipeline presentation in Skokie, call 800/513-9948 to reserve a spot.

EQUIPMENT:
Be sure to give all equipment updates to John Dobner including telephone number and pager changes. If department heads change John also needs to know that.
John Dobner handed out new listing February 2001. All this info is on the SMART web page, www.lincolnnet.net/smart. Motion by Bob Small and 2nd by Dean Bloom to get a domain name for SMART the cost is $35.00 per year. Initial bill will be $70.00 to pay for 2 years.
STATE REGION 4:
Emergency Planning Course needs people or course will be canceled.
March 4-10 Severe Weather week. In 2000 there were 52 tornados in Illinois causing about $53 million in damage.

Emergency Operation plans assistance meeting will be held at Tinley Park. A date will be established later.
E-outage program from ComEd will be available tomorrow (2/9) at the Maywood office.
WILL COUNTY:
SAR resource hand out from Harold.
Harold Damron discussed the recent I-55 accident where 10 people died. Coroner’s morgue doesn’t have enough room to handle this amount of fatalities. The Will County garage was set up to act as a morgue facility.
Will County Coordinators meeting 2/10
at 9:30.
Legislative Liaison:
Lt. Gov law HB180 Scotts Law for increase penalties for Emergency vehicles. This came about because of fire fighter killed.
Red Cross:
There have been a lot of residential fires. Thanks for your assistance.
Clothing assistance should go to local churches or other community service groups.
OLD BUSINESS:
Dobner went over some of the changes to the SMART information that he passed out tonight. The information given out is only good if it is read and used.
