Motion to approve previous meeting minutes by Bill Potocki 2nd by Jim Dzurny.

CORRESPONDENCE:

SMART insurance program was talked about by Small. Package is similar to IRMA plan. AIG insurance group put package together.

TREASURER REPORT:

The checking has $2405.02, the money market has $1601.18, the CD has $2786.48, equals $6,792.68. Motion by Bill Potocki 2nd by Jeff Schoeling to accept treasurers’ report.

TRAINING:

June 18th 7:30 PM Oak Forest City Hall, Secretary of State training on spotting altered Drivers Licenses.

COMMUNICATIONS:

SMART page was about 14:20. All went okay per the computer.

Anyone checking their 42.5 Weather receivers.

SMART minutes will be posted on the Web site before the meeting. If you want to read them ahead of time.

South Holland looking for Fire Chief, anyone interested?

Markham, Thornton, and Riverdale attended the emergency planning meeting. Kevin thanked Jim Dzurny for hosting and Bob Small for helping.

ICS is doing well. Thanks for help at Traffic Stops. June 23 next stop. Who ever arrives first at Traffic stop will take charge.

Conference is April at Springfield Holiday Inn.

OLD BUSINESS:

Attended a disaster exercise at Romeoville. Bill Potocki said the training went well.

Accountability tags, Jim Dean gave info to his committee members.

We have a Training committee (what has it done for me lately) is it necessary. There was a discussion on the reasons for and against. Roger made a command decision and the 4th Director is the training chairman.

Tinley Park assistance July 22 run bike stumble morning.

Roger appointed James Bibbs to Chaplain.

NEW BUSINESS:

Equipment microphones wiring etc. Dolton has available contact Sandy if you’re interested.

Some groups have ordered T-Shirts, traffic vests, etc. should we have ordered as a group and received a better discount?

Are any towns receiving grants? Contact your state representative for information on how to file.

Paid on call what does it mean. It depends on your towns interpretation.

Mokena July 4th assistance 08:30 – 12:00 parade, 19:30 – 22:00 Fire Works.

Jeff McKnight got promoted and moved to Wisconsin, Joe Kouba is Jim’s assistant.

Jim met with Homer Glen (new community) Debra Norvil. Wants operational ESDA unit.

Blue Island ESDA would like to Give thanks to ESDA for recognizing Roy McDonough.

September 2nd Labor day parade.
