MINUTES:

Motion to approve previous meeting minutes by John Ranieri, 2nd by Ralph Turner.

TREASURER REPORT:

The checking has $3,147.29, the money market has $1,841.64, the CD has $2,851.15, equals $7,840.08.  Motion by Jeff Schoeling 2nd by Ralph Turner to accept treasurers’ report.

TRAINING:

Sandy asked if SMART should put on a traffic class.  John Ranieri is going to try and get a traffic-training course together through Matteson.

 

COMMUNICATIONS:

Bob Small set off a SMART page Thursday afternoon at before 15:00 to alphanumeric pagers and Nextel’s.

 

Dobner sent out a just as an update.

 

Butch Stoffregen’s pager didn’t page him.

 

EQUIPMENT:

Keep John updated on changes, phone numbers, equipment, etc.

John handed out disks for updates.

 

STATE REGION 4:

Rock River is a really busy area.

 

Saturday June 15th Chicago Fire Academy has open house.

 

Aurora emergency vehicle display is first weekend of August.

Resource binder was handed out tonight to those that didn’t receive them.

 

CD being put together on Admin rules.  Meeting to be set-up later with coordinators.

 

John Pluta needs state appointment cards faxed to him.  These cards could be very old so do your best.

Finding out how much money they can’t spend.

 

IESMA (Illinois Emergency Services Management Association):

IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency):

Conference is September 3rd, 4th, & 5th in Springfield.

 

RED CROSS LIAISON:

No report

 

OLD BUSINESS:

SMART seminar can we plan one for this year, fall.  There was a tabletop that John Dobner went to in Orland Mall.  There is a new company that does the tabletops; they took over from the Ohio group.

 

Anyone wanting to host a Shelter class let John Pluta know.  The seminar would be; one 8-hour day or two nights of 4 hours, 50 to 60 people.  Cook County wants everyone to have this class and all will be notified.  Attendees should be coordinators, school principles, village officials, etc.

 

Sandy said thanks for all that helped and prayed for him during his illness.

 

We have a need for a coordinators work shop.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

Mokena has 4th of July festivities.  Morning 08:00 Parade assistance, afternoon 16:00 for fireworks at park lights & traffic.  Meet at EOC 10940 Front St. let Bill Potocki know by June 25th.

 

Jim Dean has a brochure United for Stronger America, office of justice programs.  You can get info from Internet.

 

Rich Township thanked those that helped at Matteson.

 

Crestwood thanked the towns that assisted with their ELIM School run.

 

Dolton has a 4th of July parade at 9:00 AM.

 

Chicago Hgts is having crossroads fest 7/4-6.  Call Mike Pope and he’ll get you the info.  Fireworks will go off on the 3rd.

 

Labor Day another County traffic stop possible.
