CORRESPONDENCE:
TREASURER REPORT:
The checking account has $2,890.87, the money market has $2,231.90, the CD has $2,880.08, equals $8,002.85. Motion by Art Johnson 2nd by Jim Dean to accept treasurers’ report.
TRAINING:
The September 29th Disaster drill ran 3 hours. This exercise was geared more toward the Hospitals response. The scenario had toxic gas & a sniper. Chicago Heights was part of the film crew. The film will be aired on the Fire Emergency satellite system.
COMMUNICATIONS:
Bob Small set off a SMART page Thursday morning at around 10:30 to alphanumeric pagers & NEXTELs.
Pages that failed Thursday because of invalid PIN were, Hometown Jim & Joe both failed, Calumet City NEXTEL.
September 21 Bob Small got a call to page out for Mutual Aid to Lynwood. He paged Richton Pk, Richtownship, Sauk Village, Calumet City, Thornton. Lynwood thought the response time was slow. Thanks from Lynwood to Thornton, Richtownship, Sauk Village for their assistance.
To have better pager coverage should we provide the directors with the paging program too? This then would give the President, Vice President, Secretary/Treasure, Directors, and John Dobner the capability of paging SMART. There has to be rules of use followed. This is referred to the Communications committee for resolution.
EQUIPMENT:
Keep John Dobner updated on changes, phone numbers, equipment, pagers, NEXTEL’s etc.
November will be equipment sheet fill out month. John wants them back the next month. Every community should fill out the form just to make sure the database is accurate.

Participated in the Tinley Park EMS drill on 10/29. Did decontamination and brought the Command Post.
Exxon Mobil held a disaster drill.
Braid wood had a nuclear exercise 10/9.

Orland Hills status is doubtful they have budget problems. Roger will contact Jack again and see how it is going.
OLD BUSINESS:
Picture ID status, John Dobner doesn’t have pictures from all the communities. The ones he has will be processed after he clears it with the individual that will do the cards. Answer should be up coming in November.
NEW BUSINESS:
Motion for John Dobner to work on Christmas Party planning for 12/12 by Bob Small 2nd by Art Johnson.
Motion to allot $600 towards this dinner by Art Johnson 2nd by Bob Small.
James Bibbs suggested that if we have a sick member to send card. James will check on cost of cards to be made up with SMART printed on them. James Bibbs will get someone to make a card example to be approved at the November meeting.
South Holland said thanks to those that helped with their parade of lights.
